Dr Kate McCann
Dr Kate McCann was elected Chair of WiMIN in 2025. She is a certified lifestyle medicine physician and a Member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, the British Society for Lifestyle Medicine, and has been active in the development of the newly formed Irish Society for Lifestyle Medicine.
She is a Member of Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, a former Post-Doc in molecular biology at the Indiana University School of Medicine, and former Fellow at the Eck Institute for Global Health.
Dr Lorna Holcroft
"Dr Lorna Holcroft MRCPI previously completed a BST in paediatrics. She is currently in a post as a Registrar in Dermatology. She is particularly interested in equity, diversity and inclusivity in medicine and medical training.
Dr. Louise Fitzgerald
Louise is a General Practitioner who leads menopause and occupational health services at Grafton Medical. She previously served as Secretary of the Irish Society of Occupational Medicine and is currently Vice Chair of Endometriosis Association of Ireland.
Dr Maimoona Azhar
Dr Maimoona Azhar is Co-Chair of the WiMIN Outreach Committee. She is a clinical educator and the Founder/CEO of Telegenz, a dedicated platform for virtual clinical skills development, enabling patients and healthcare providers to effectively utilize rapidly advancing digital health technology.
Dr. Elizabeth Barrett
Elizabeth Barrett is a Consultant in Psychological Medicine (Liaison Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) at Children's University Hospital, Temple Street and an Associate Professor at UCD. She also chairs local peer groups, has been Vice Chair of the Liaison Faculty of the College of Psychiatry of Ireland and lead for the CHI Psychological medicine group. She currently chairs the academic faculty of the College of Psychiatrists (2025 to present). She also leads the development of the UCD Health Humanities Summer school with colleagues from the School of English, Drama and Film and CEPL.
Prof Nóirín Russell
Professor Nóirín Russell MD FRCPI MRCOG is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Cork University Maternity Hospital and Honorary Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at University College Cork. In August 2020, she was appointed as the Clinical Director of CervicalCheck and has recently been appointed to the European Commission Initiative on cervical cancer which aims to develop revised screening guidelines in tandem with a quality assurance scheme.
She is a founding board member of WiMIN.
Prof Áine Carroll
Prof Aine Carroll is Vice-Chair and Honorary Secretary of WiMIN. Áine is Professor of Healthcare Integration and Improvement at University College Dublin and a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dublin. She is Chair of the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC) and co-Director of IFIC Ireland.
Dr Lisa McNamee
Dr Lisa McNamee is a GP with a special interest in space and aviation medicine. She is Co-Chair of the WiMIN Outreach Committee. She is the primary care sustainability lead for Irish Doctors for the Environment. She is currently serving as a Medical Officer in the Defence Forces and holds the rank of Commandant. She enjoys writing, teaching and chatting.
Dr Vicki Marchant
Dr Vicki Marchant is the current Treasurer of WIMIN. She is a GP in Co Meath since 2006 and has a special interest in women’s health, dermatology and Autism. She is also a tutor on the Practical Dermatology Diploma in Cardiff.
Ms Ettaeyo Ita
"Ettaeyo is a medical student at the RCSI, currently undertaking an intercalated Master’s in Translational Research. Her interests include women’s health, global surgery, and the intersection of clinical medicine with broader social factors.She is passionate about inclusive research and advocacy, and values spaces that foster mentorship, representation, and collaboration within medicine.
